What Boltz does
Boltz (Boltz PBC) is an AI-for-science company focused on open biomolecular foundation models and production-oriented tooling for drug discovery and protein design. Its models target core bottlenecks in early-stage discovery—predicting biomolecular structures/complexes and estimating binding properties—then packaging those capabilities as both open-source model releases (Boltz-1, Boltz-2, BoltzGen) and as an API and agentic platform (BoltzMol-1, BoltzProt-1, Boltz API, and Boltz Lab) intended to be easier to deploy inside real research workflows.
More
Boltz’s platform approach is oriented around (1) efficient, scalable inference and (2) integrating model calls into agentic or pipeline-style usage so scientists can iterate faster without needing to manage heavy ML infrastructure themselves. In 2026, Boltz positioned this productization effort around a “Boltz Lab” beta and a broader integration push via enterprise interfaces and API endpoints, alongside partnerships with multiple pharma organizations (for example, Pfizer, GSK, and Takeda) to deploy and (where relevant) fine-tune models and workflows on proprietary data.
