The AI Whistleblower Initiative (AIWI) is an independent non-profit project focused on enabling “frontier AI insiders” to raise concerns safely and effectively. AIWI’s approach combines (1) research and policy advocacy on whistleblower protection design, (2) operational support for insiders via secure, privacy-preserving guidance, and (3) connections to vetted legal/financial and support organizations.
AIWI positions its work at the intersection of AI governance and whistleblowing system design, emphasizing confidentiality, consent, and operational security as prerequisites for useful information flow from insiders to the people best placed to act.
