Safe Superintelligence

SSI describes itself as the “world’s first straight-shot SSI lab,” with safety and capability advanced together as technical problems to be solved through engineering and scientific breakthroughs, while explicitly trying to avoid short-term product/commercial pressures. It operates offices in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv and says it is assembling a lean team focused only on SSI. The company’s most visible public outputs are corporate updates (leadership changes, fundraising) and compute/infrastructure partnerships rather than a consumer product. Its reported strategic position as of 2026 is centered on scaling training compute through NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, which SSI says will increase compute by an order of magnitude under a long-term partnership.
