Blueprint Biosecurity is a Washington, D.C.-addressed U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit (founded in 2023) advancing practical, pathogen-agnostic countermeasures to reduce the impact of future biological threats, with an emphasis on strengthening indoor and occupational layers of defense against airborne transmission. Its core approach combines (1) evidence-driven research funded through competitive grantmaking, (2) technical/policy translation aimed at decision-makers, and (3) support for real-world deployment in partnership with government, academia, industry, and philanthropy.
Blueprint organizes its work into a portfolio of countermeasure areas spanning respiratory protection (PPE), built-environment air treatment (far-UVC and conventional GUV), and underexplored antimicrobial vapor approaches (glycol vapors).
