Amii (Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute) is an independent Canadian nonprofit AI institute focused on “AI for good and for all.” It positions itself as a bridge between foundational machine-intelligence research and applied adoption—supporting research excellence (including reinforcement learning), building AI talent pipelines, and translating AI into practical industry outcomes.
Amii also operates major national AI education and ecosystem programs, including AI literacy initiatives and its Upper Bound conference, and it participates in national efforts on AI safety and responsible development.
