Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit think tank founded in 2007 to help policymakers work across party lines to craft bipartisan solutions. Its work spans technology/innovation policy, AI and related governance topics, energy, health, housing, the economy, human capital/workforce policy, and government/civic institutions.
BPC’s technology-related strategy emphasizes providing lawmakers and congressional staff with structured, practical information (for example, AI literacy education), producing policy options and written research that can be used in congressional deliberations, and convening cross-sector stakeholders to address emerging technical policy issues—such as AI’s impact on energy demand and electricity/grid reliability and planning considerations for data center development. In recent years, BPC has also launched multi-stakeholder policy task forces and commissions tied to workforce and other national priorities, and it reports financial support from a mix of institutional and corporate funders, including major philanthropic foundations and corporate contributors.
