Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) is a global nonprofit partnership focused on accelerating the development of vaccines and other biologic countermeasures against epidemic and pandemic threats, with the stated goal that these tools become accessible to all people in need. CEPI’s work is organized around its pandemic-beating “100 Days Mission” and a broader strategy to “Prepare, Transform, and Connect” the world so that vaccine development timelines can be compressed to as little as 100 days after a novel virus is identified.
In practice, CEPI acts as a funder and coordinator across a coalition of public-sector, private-sector, philanthropic, academic, and civil society partners—supporting vaccine R&D, enabling science, and ecosystem-building such as manufacturing readiness, equitable access, and networks intended to speed response once an outbreak begins.
