AI Verify Foundation is a Singapore-based, not-for-profit foundation that operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). Its mission centers on building a community-driven, open-source approach to AI testing and governance: convening AI owners, solution providers, users, and policymakers to improve trustworthiness through standardized and auditable testing practices.
Strategically, the Foundation’s work is positioned at the “assurance” layer of AI governance: it develops and maintains AI testing frameworks/toolkits (for both traditional and generative AI), publishes supporting governance guidance, and pilots real-world technical assurance of deployed GenAI applications. More recently, it has been moving from pilot testing toward scaling the ecosystem via an accreditation programme for third-party AI testing service firms—intended to codify what competent assurance testing looks like.
