ARENA AI Safety (operating as “ARENA – AI Safety Education”) is an in-person “Alignment Research Engineer Accelerator” that provides technical AI-safety education and research-engineering training. The program aims to equip participants with the coding, ML foundations, and alignment-relevant technical skills to contribute to “technical AI safety,” and it runs multiple multi-week cohorts per year based at the London Initiative for Safe AI (LISA) in Shoreditch, London.
ARENA also publishes and hosts its curriculum online so that individuals and external groups can learn using its materials, and it supports alumni via careers events and ongoing contact. Operationally, ARENA is presented as a programme of LISA (London Initiative for Safe AI), with ARENA’s own programme staffing listed on the ARENA website (e.g., Head of ARENA, Head of Teaching, Head of Operations, and a Founder).
