Pivotal Research Ltd is a UK-registered nonprofit company limited by guarantee (incorporated May 9, 2025) that runs in-person research fellowship programs in London to cultivate early-career researchers working on technical AI safety, AI governance, and (through a separate program track) frontier biodefense. Its flagship offering is a structured research fellowship that pairs fellows with established mentors and Pivotal research managers, provides co-working and workshops, and supports fellows financially (stipend plus travel/housing/compute support) with the aim of producing research outputs and accelerating fellows’ careers in the field.
