The United States Senate is the upper chamber of the U.S. Congress.
Senate.gov is the central public-facing platform for the chamber’s constitutional and procedural work: legislation and voting, oversight of the executive branch through committee activity and hearings, consideration of nominations and treaties, and public access to records such as the Congressional Record and floor activity summaries. In addition to lawmaking and oversight, Senate operations also include institutional governance functions (e.g., rules and precedents that govern debate and voting) and public-facing transparency tools covering ethics and lobbying/public disclosure records.
